The invaders are coming

As far as retro goes then the classic ‘Space Invaders’ game must appear at some time and it does in this issue with artwork on the front cover / collectors card and an article on the game for the Atari 2600. I remember playing ‘Space Invaders’ in the arcade with the comp chomp sound of the invaders moving across and down the screen, my defences being crumpled by their fire, and panic setting in as the last few whizzed across and down the screen to destroy me. I also loved the article concerning the demise of the gaming disk (are we all going digital) and the article by Neil Thomas of Retro Man Cave fame. I could not finish without mentioning the article on the game ‘Out Run’ which I played for hours at the seaside arcades.

Another great read!

I've been reading Fusion since the start and can only praise Chris and the contributors for making another excellent magazine. Every article is well written and not padded out with irrelevant paragraphs to fill the page! I'm also really enjoying the continuing story of the Oliver twins. I've been a gamer for over 30 years and are still learning things about retro gaming that I either didn't know or is bringing long lost memories back from the depths of my mind!! Keep up the good work :)

The magazine's overall quality is first class. Ranging from excellent content, quality of paper and vibrant colourful and clear printing. I highly recommend this magazine giving it 5 stars out of 5.

A review.

Great writing in issue 5. The mix of articles on old and new items works really well, and it doesn't go on for too long. Well done. Ps do you thing the Playmate will succeed ? I think it will crash and burn. If I want a monochrome handheld I would get a game boy.
